Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, WHMIS Certificate.

Type of Travel: International

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Trip recorder (on-board computer), Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

Additional Skills: Owner-operator business skills

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication
