Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days and evenings. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $21.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Flatbed, Van

Type of Travel: Local, Regional

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Trip recorder (on-board computer)

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Oral communication

Other Information: Experienced AZ driver required for summer vacation coverage, possibly leading to full time employment. Must have minimum 1 year exp, current abstract, CVOR and CRS.
