Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $17.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate.

Type of Construction: Residential

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Nail guns, Small front end loaders

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Assist heavy equipment operators, Level earth to fine grade specifications, Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, Read blueprints

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is not available

Essential Skills: Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Critical thinking, Continuous learning

Other Information: Previous experience in residential grading using a laser and the ability to read grade sheets required.
