Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Work Setting: Social service agency

Target Groups or Clients: Culturally diverse groups

Type of Community or Social Service: Volunteer coordination, Settlement services for new immigrants

Specific Skills: Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Conduct follow-up assessments, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff

Additional Skills: Administrative and office activities, Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers, Research techniques

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Willing to travel

Ability to Supervise: Working groups

Essential Skills: Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Finding information, Computer use
