Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Steel Fabrication Trade Certification.

Type of Equipment: Brakes and presses, Shears, Cutting torches, Grinders, Drills

Area of Specialization: Structural metal or steel, Platework, Tanks

Specific Skills: Lay out reference points and patterns, Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, Weld or bolt sections together

Additional Skills: Read blueprints

Security and Safety: Bondable

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: Noisy

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation
