Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $10.25 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), School age (6 - 12 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided
