Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification.

Supervisory Experience: Machinists and machining and tooling inspectors

Type of Industry Experience: Metal products manufacturing, Machinery and metal equipment products manufacturing, Custom machining

Specific Skills: Supervise workers and projects, Co-ordinate and schedule activities, Train or arrange for training, Recommend staffing actions, Ensure adherence to safety standards, Set up machinery and equipment

Additional Skills: Prepare production and other reports, Oversee apprenticeship training

Security and Safety: Bondable, Enhanced reliability security clearance

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail

Work Site Environment: Dangerous

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle

Work Location Information: In shop

Ability to Supervise: More than 20 people
