Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Salary: will be $10.25 per hour for a 42 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Recreational Concentration: Aquatics, Canoeing, Creative Play, Arts and crafts, Nature games and crafts, Rock Climbing, Skateboarding, Games, Cooking

Type of Clients: Pre-school children, Children

Work Setting: Community centre, Camp

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Leading/instructing groups, Patrolling/supervising activities

Specific Skills: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques, Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts, Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, Plan and carry out fitness and sports activities, Plan and carry out recreational activities, Enforce safety rules and regulations, Understand principles of group dynamics, Mediate disputes, Provide lifestyle awareness information

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Assist with special events

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Other Information: The position begins June 28, 2010 and will end of September 3, 2010. Interviews will take place on the Saturday of Easter weekend: April 3. The interviews will be at least 2 hours in duration.
