Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working evenings.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Work Setting: Warehouse

Vehicle and Equipment Experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Industrial lift trucks and forklifts, Towmotors, Reach trucks

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, Pick orders and stock, Wrap goods, Pack and unpack goods, Transport and distribute materials and goods, Maintain and organize inventory, Operate computerized inventory control systems

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: At heights

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory, Computer use, Continuous learning

Other Information: Afternoon shift. Preference to applicants with: Shipping experience, loading/unloading trucks in a warehouse setting, able to operate forklift/pickers. Experience with RF scan guns.

We are a wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating and industrial supplies with seven branches in Southwest Ontario. Our Kitchener warehouse serves as the central distribution center for our other six locations.
