Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Flatbed

Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local, Regional

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Accident or incident reports

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking

Other Information: We supply exterior home building supplies. Applicants must be flexible and hard working individuals. Boom and conveyor experience a definite asset.
