Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer

Work Location Information: Various locations
