Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Care for pets, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning

Other Information: Live-out only. West Mountain, Hamilton. Relevant experience is essential. Must be able to cook nutritious meals for our child, and have a flexible schedule. Some overnight. Long-term position.
