Terms: This is a casual, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $10.25 to $12.12 per hour for a 15 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training, completed university.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Customer Service Training, Fitness Instructor Certificate.

Recreational Concentration: Fitness and aerobics

Type of Clients: All ages, Adolescents, Seniors, Persons with physical disabilities, Multi-ethnic groups, Cultural groups

Work Setting: YMCA,YWCA, YMHA and YWHA

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Patrolling/supervising activities

Specific Skills: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques, Plan and carry out fitness and sports activities, Attend to clients with special needs, Enforce safety rules and regulations, Provide lifestyle awareness information

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Assist with special events, Keep logs and maintain records

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Urban area

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
