Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Salary: will be $10.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years), School age (6 - 12 years), Over 12 years

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Staff accommodation available, Urban area

Other Information: Care for 5 children ages 10, 8, 5 & 4 (girls) & boy 7months. Room & Board charged at $85.25/week. Light housekeeping & meal preparation.
