Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be $20.00 to $25.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification.

Type of Machine Experience: Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Machining Tools and Machines: Automatic lathes, Boring machines, CNC machines, Milling machines

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Repair machine tools and parts, Set up and adjust production machinery, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods
