Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $10.25 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), School age (6 - 12 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
