Major Work Area: Fabrication, Assembly, Fitting Type of Equipment: Brakes and presses, Shears, Cutting torches, Grinders Area of Specialization: Structural metal or steel, Platework, Shipbuilding, Tanks Welding Techniques: MIG Specific Skills: Lay out reference points and patterns, Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, Weld or bolt sections together, Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, Construct patterns and templates Additional Skills: Read blueprints Security and Safety: Basic security clearance Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding Essential Skills: Numeracy, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking Profile: for Heddle Marine Service Inc Shipyard established in 1987.
