Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice, 5th Period Apprentice, Gas Fitter Licence, First Aid Certificate, WHMIS, Driver’s License.

Major Work Area: Installation, Shop fabrication, Service, Repair, On-site fabrication, Retrofit

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Residential, Shop

Areas of Specialization: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, Dust and fume collection systems, Humidifier systems, Custom sheet metal items, Industrial plant piping

Other Material Joining Techniques / Equipment: Lock formers, seamers, groovers, Rivets, screws, bolts, Pop rivets

Specific Skills: Determine layout of systems, Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification, Cut materials using power tools or by hand, Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
