Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Food Safe Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Electronic cash register, Point-of-sale system

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Work Setting: Formal dining room, Cafeteria, Nursing home or other health institution

Food and Beverage Serving Skills: Serve food and beverages, general plate service, Describe menu items including daily specials for customers, Advise on menu selections

Additional Skills: Customer service oriented, Address customers’ complaints or concerns, Assist customers with special needs, Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, Set tables, Replace linen

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Security and Safety: Bondable

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Significant use of memory
