Credentials required: The applicant should have Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists Examination, Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Work Setting: Rehabilitation centre, Nursing home, Home for the aged, Medical clinic

Area of Practice: Cardiac rehabilitation, Hand rehabilitation, Neurology and neuro-surgery, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Psychiatry, Chronic care, Community occupational therapy, Arthritis, Geriatrics

Specific Skills: Assess patients’ emotional and physical capabilities, Consult with physicians to confirm assessment, Develop and implement treatment programs, Evaluate treatment progress, Maintain clinical and progress reports

Additional Skills: Supervise technical and support staff

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Eligible for professional liability insurance

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation

Work Location Information: Various locations

Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less
