Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $12.00 to $13.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s License.

Area of Installation Specialization: Display cases, Skylights and slope glazed installations, Curtain walls, Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems, Shower doors and tub enclosures

Types of Glass / Materials: Acrylic plexiglass, Float glass, Mirrors, Sealed units

Frame Fabrication and Installation: Curtain wall (stock length material), Curtain wall (prefabricated material), Aluminum framing members, Entranceways

Glass Cutting Equipment and Techniques: Circular cutters, Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts), Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts), Etch glass

Types of Glass Drilling Bits: Carbide and diamond bits

Specific Skills: Determine type of glass, frames and material required, Measure, mark and cut glass, Position and secure panes in frame, Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, Install door, window and other hardware, Repair glass doors and other glass structures, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment

Additional Skills: Work at heights on scaffolding

Security and Safety: Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
