Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $10.25 per hour for a 40 hour week.
Also: medical benefits.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Child welfare check

Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses paid by employer

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Writing, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Live-in Caregiver must be able to speak and write Yoruba Language (Nigerian Language) and understand Nigerian cultural background to teach children. Must also know how to prepare Nigerian food.
