Credentials required: The applicant should have Provincial Municipal Assessment Accreditation.

Area of Assessor and Appraiser Specialization: Commercial and industrial buildings and property

Specific Assessor Skills: Assess value of land, buildings, structures and property improvements for taxation, grants and regional planning prior to purchase or sale, Review and analyze data such as past sales, title searches, engineering and alignment maps and soil maps, Review and analyze data such as location cost data and easements

Specific Valuator Skills: Estimate market value of business based on analysis of data, Appear as an expert witness before courts, security regulators and other regulatory boards and commissions

Specific Appraiser Skills: Appraise value of property and buildings, Prepare appraisal reports for lending agencies and insurance companies, Prepare appraisal reports for government departments, Prepare appraisal reports for courts, attorneys, and creditors

Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Large caseload
