Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $28.89 per hour for a 42 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Stationary Engineer 2nd Class.

Work Setting: Electric power generation plants

Type of Equipment: Computerized control systems, High pressure boilers, Pumps, Turbines, Electric generators, Compressors, Motors, Valves, Gauges, Alarms, Meters, Hand tools, Distributed control systems (DCS)

Specific Skills: Operate automated or computerized control systems, Monitor and inspect plant equipment, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction, Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components, Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities

Additional Skills: Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
