Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $26.80 per hour for a 44 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.

Major Work Area: Maintenance, Service, Repair

Area of Specialization: Adjusting machinery and equipment, Troubleshooting, Bearing, seals and packing

Type of Industry/Work Setting Experience: Hydro-electric industry, Sawmill

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Conveyors, Turbines, Welding equipment, Heat exchangers, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Power transmission systems

Welding Techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW)

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Repair or replace defective machinery parts, Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, Assemble machinery prior to installation

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding

Work Site Environment: Noisy

Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Continuous learning
