Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $18.00 to $22.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification.

Work Setting: General manufacturing

Type of Machine Experience: Conventional, Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Machining Tools and Machines: Automatic lathes, Boring machines, Broaching machines, CNC machines, Engine lathes, Milling machines

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Repair machine tools and parts, Set up and adjust production machinery, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
