Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $15.00 to $18.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Work Setting: Manufacturing company

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Windows, General office equipment, Electronic Mail, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Accounting software, Database software, Inventory control software, Monitoring and tracking software, Internet browser

Purchasing Clerk Specific Skills: Review requisition orders for accuracy, Verify stock availability from current inventories, Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers, Prepare purchase orders, Calculate costs of orders, Charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts, Process purchases, Resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers, Set up and maintain inventory control system, Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and records, Complete and process international purchase orders, Knowledge of Canada Customs regulations and guidelines

Inventory Clerk Specific Skills: Verify receipts and packing slips, Conduct quality control, Place stock on shelves, Record the quantity, type and value of stock on hand using computerized or manual inventory system, Prepare inventory costs, retail pricing and profit reports, Pack items for shipping and distribution, Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks, Compile inventory reports, Prepare requisition orders to replenish stock, Maintain stock rotation, Dispose of and account for outdated stock, Reconcile calculated inventories with physical counts, Knowledge of ISO policies and procedures, Liaising with Canada Customs, Knowledge of Canada Customs regulations and guidelines

Additional Skills: Perform routine clerical duties, Perform various administrative functions, Keep shop and warehouse clean, Provide information on materials available, Prepare price quotations, Complete sales transactions, Provide customer service, Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
