Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Type of General Machine Tools: Planers, Cylinder grinders, Surface grinders, Universal grinders, Tool grinders, Jig grinders, Electrical discharge machines (EDM)

Type of Special Purpose or Mass Production Machine Tools: Single purpose production machines, Form cutting machines, Tapping machines, 3-D pantographs

Specific Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers), Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
