Work Setting: Custom machine shop

Type of Machine Experience: Conventional, Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Type of Special Purpose or Mass Production Machine Tools: Form cutting machines

Specific Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers), Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs), Up to 45 kg (100 lbs), More than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
