Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $10.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child welfare check

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Numeracy, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use

Other Information: Caregiver will get 5 days paid sick leave and 10 days paid vacation yearly, $80 weekly will be deducted from salary for room and board.
