Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $26.00 to $30.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification, Machinist Red Seal Endorsment.

Work Setting: Aviation/aerospace manufacturing

Type of Machine Experience: Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Machining Tools and Machines: CNC machines, Milling machines

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments, Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods

Essential Skills: Problem solving, Critical thinking, Computer use
