Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Salary: will be $10.00 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Employee must reside in family home for duration of employment. Private bedroom and shared bath. $10 per hour, 35 hr per week. $369.25 deducted monthly for cost of room & board.
