Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $10.25 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is not available

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided
