Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Type of Paints or Coatings: Resinous, solvent drying paints, Catalyzed or polymerized paints, Bituminous coatings, Emulsions, Inhibiting coatings

Type of Materials or Products: General metal products, Construction materials or coatings

Surface Preparation Methods: Sandblasting, Steam cleaning

Application Methods: Hand-held spray guns, Airless gravity pump

Work Setting / Industry Experience: Component manufacturing industry

Specific Skills: Select appropriate paint or mix paints, Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications, Work in uncomfortable environments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check (abstract)

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information

Other Information: Custom metal fabrication shop. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. 5+ years experience in industrial coatings. Valid drivers licence and vehicle - no public transportation.
