Terms: This is a permanent, part time job Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYW) Diploma, Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Target Groups or Clients: Adolescents, Young offenders, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities

Specific Skills: Implement life skills workshops, Provide suicide and crisis intervention, Implement behaviour management programs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Various locations

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory
