Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have St. John’s Ambulance First-Aid Certificate, Canadian Red Cross First-Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Emergency First Response Course, Driver’s licence.

Driver’s Record: Driver’s abstract

Work Setting: Hospital, Private ambulance company

Specific Skills: Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care, Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided, Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Immunization records, Driver’s validity licence check
