Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 Y per year for a 40 hour week.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification, Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice.

Work Setting: General manufacturing

Type of Machine Experience: Conventional, Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving
