Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Dump trucks, Gravel truck

Type of Work Experience: Material handling

Work Setting / Industry Experience: Forestry and logging

Specific Skills: Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment

Additional Skills: Calculate weight, distance, volume and length measurements, Complete onboard and other logs, Prepare accident reports

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety vest

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Staff accommodation provided, Various locations
